As of March 21, 2022. This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The project consists of relocating two (2) modular classroom buildings at site and providing unisex toilets within existing eleven (11) single-classroom modular buildings located at Davis Drive Elementary School, 2151 Davis Drive, Apex, NC and constructing the associated site utility improvements, plumbing, mechanical and electrical requirements. Bidding Documents include this Invitation to Bid, and the following attached forms: Form of Proposal, sample contract, Sales Tax Report, School Access Requirements, MBE forms and Board of Education Policies. The bidding documents also include the plans and specifications, and any Addenda issued prior to receipt of bids. All requirements and obligations of the Bidding Documents are hereby incorporated by reference into the Contract Documents and are binding on the Successful Bidder upon award of the contract. Each Bidder by submitting their Bid represents that they have read and understand the Bidding Documents and their Bid is made in accordance therewith; and the Bidder agrees to be bound by the terms and requirements set forth in the Bidding and Contract Documents; that they have visited the site, have familiarized themselves with the local conditions under which the Work is to be performed herein, and has correlated their observations with the requirements of the proposed Contract Documents. Notice of Intent to Award: February 18, 2022 Contractor Returns Owner Contractor Agreement to WCPSS: March 3, 2022 Notice to Proceed: April 14, 2022 Substantial Completion: August 5, 2022 Final Completion: August 12, 2022 Substantial Completion Liquidated Damages shall be the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per calendar day per each building, and this amount shall be assessed in accordance with Subparagraph 8.9.1 of the General Conditions. Final Completion Liquidated Damages shall be the sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per calendar day per each building, and this amount shall be assessed in accordance with Subparagraph 8.9.2 of the General Conditions. The Owner reserves the right to withhold the issuance of Notice to Proceed by up to thirty (30) days. For each day that Notice to Proceed is withheld pursuant to this Subparagraph, the dates established for Substantial Completion and Final Completion shall be adjusted.
