The City of North Augusta, through the Public Services Department, seeks qualifications for Municipal Water and Waste Water System Engineering Services. A. Plan Review Services The selected Engineer will provide technical review of, and answer inquires relating to, water treatment plant improvement plans, water pump station improvement plans, water infrastructure plans, wastewater pump station improvement plans, wastewater infrastructure plans, and emergency response plans. B. Project Design Services The selected Engineer must have the capability to design a full array of public works type projects including drinking water treatment, drinking water pumping systems, wastewater pumping systems, and wastewater collection systems in a manner that is functional and cost effective. The selected Engineer must be able to provide structural / engineering guidance and any necessary design work for municipal structures. C. Environmental Services and Regulatory Agency Interactions The selected Engineer shall be well-versed in regulatory compliance and permitting and be familiar with approval procedures of regulatory agencies including but not limited to the following: SCDHEC, SCDOT, USEPA, Army Corp of Engineers, FEMA, and Federal Highway Administration. All proposals must be received no later than 12:00 PM, on Friday, February 11th, 2022. Two (3) copies of all proposals must be provided. The copies shall be sealed and clearly identified by 'MUNICIPAL WATER AND WASTE WATER SYSTEM ENGINEERING SERVICES, RFQ-4280-2022-01' by the submittal deadline. Neither verbal nor electronic submittals will be accepted or considered valid. Inquiries and Interpretations: a. Responses to inquires which directly affect an interpretation or change this RFQ will be issued in writing by City staff as an addendum. All such addenda issues by the City prior to the time that proposals are received shall be considered part of the RFQ and the Respondent shall be required to consider and acknowledge receipt of each addendum in its submittal. b. Only those inquires the City replies to by addenda shall be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
