Participation by small businesses and businesses owned by women, minorities, veteran, service-disabled veterans, is encouraged on CSU construction projects. References to such in qualification submittals are encouraged; however, preference shall not be a factor of award on CSU construction projects. Preference shall be given to Colorado resident bidders and for Colorado labor, as provided by law. The process to be used in the selection of the Roofing Contractor is the Competitive Sealed Best Value (CSBV) Bidding method comprised of two (2) steps as described in Section I (H). The removal of asbestos abatement will be the responsibility of the contractor based on the resultants/recommendation of the Limited Asbestos Inspection Report provided by CSU. This work may be performed by the Roofing Contractor by properly certified employees or sub-contracted.
