Renovation of a mixed-use development in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and 57,400-square-foot library.
As of January 18, 2022, the General and Electrical Contracts have been awarded. The HVAC and Plumbing Contracts rebid on 1/11/2022 and award is pending. The Owner is in the process of renovating approximately 55,000 square feet within its interconnected Bonnell and Mint Buildings to create a new Library/Learning Commons space. This renovation is taking place in three (3) Phases which is nearing completion. As part of this renovation, approximately 2,400 square feet has been allocated for a Cafe with seating. This space is in Phase III, This project is expected to be completed in 120 Days from contract execution. Finishes for this space were excluded from the original Construction Documents and are not part of the renovation work already assigned to the four (4) multi-prime contractors. The Owner envisions a Cafe offering coffees and specialty drinks, grab 'n go sandwiches, snacks and a panini-style warming oven. This will be a Prevailing Wage Project for the following Trades: HVAC Plumbing
