Invitation for Bid: 2022-01 Electric Room Upgrade/Generator Installation The Mass Transportation Authority (MTA) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide labor and install an emergency electrical generator at our RTW Building 1. Furthermore, the contractor shall purchase, provide, and install any supporting equipment needed to install the emergency electrical generator including two (2) transfer switches. The MTA reserves the right to waive any informality in the invitation for bid; to reject any or all bids; and to make any award which it considers to be in the best interest of the MTA. Upgrade incoming electrical service for Building 1 1717 S. Dort Highway Flint, MI 48503, based on electrical drawings provided. New electrical room to be in area specified. The building operates as a 24/7 operations facility and will require the entire building to remain operational in the event of a power outage. To limit down time during electrical service shutdown and switch over, construct new electrical service and room while maintaining existing service to Building 1 so that it will remain operational. Switch to new equipment when installation is completed and inspected. MTA will purchase and provide an emergency electric generator for the entire Building 1. The Contractor shall provide labor and install the emergency electrical generator.
