Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Marietta, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Marietta City Schools is looking to obtain bid responses from licensed, qualified firms to mill, remove old asphalt, and pace a portion of the Transportation parking lot. SCOPE OF WORK AND SPECIFICATIONS Marietta City Schools seeks a qualified Contractor to mill and remove old asphalt surfacing for an area in the Transportation facility parking lot. The following specifications must be met: Base Bid: o Contractor will remove and discard all debris, forms, parking stops, and trash. o Contractor must locate all utilities. o Contractor will provide all material and labor to complete the assigned work. o Contractor will mill area down to existing sub base and pave with 2" of 19mm Asphalt Binder, 2" of 9.5mm Asphalt Topping, and properly compact. (Approximately 5,701 SY) o Contractor will remove all bus and passenger vehicle Curb Stops and replace with new. o Contractor will remove and replace approximately 170 LF of Curb and Gutter. o Contractor must comply with State of Georgia, Department of Transportation, "Standard Specifications Construction of Roads and Bridges," latest edition, (GADOT). o Contractor will stripe all areas impacted by work with parking spaces and appropriate directional arrows. Add Alternate #1: o Remove and replace 1,900 SF area above fuel tanks (outlined in yellow on page 19) to sub base and pour pack with 4,000 PSI concrete with fiber with a minimum depth of 8"
