The Village of Oak Park is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide UPM cold mix patch material. The Streets Division periodically requests bids for items purchased throughout the year. Vendors are asked to submit a bid on the following item and that the prices are good for the calendar year of 2022. Each year the Village places orders with each of the companies based on who had the lowest cost on the various items. Each year approximately 175-225 tons of UPM Cold Mix (Unique Paving Materials) are purchased by the Village. Price should include delivery to the Oak Park Public Works Service Center. These amounts may increase or decrease depending on the work load of the year. Bidders must submit their bid on the form included in this Request for Bids. Upon formal award to the successful Bidder, a Purchase Order will be issued to secure this purchase and the Bidder will enter into an agreement with the Village. The Village of Oak Park as a municipality pays neither Federal Excise Tax nor Illinois Retailers Occupational Tax, and therefore these taxes should be excluded from quotations. In responding to this Request for Bids, the official logo of the Village of Oak Park is not to be used in any form. Use of the Village logo is strictly prohibited by law and such use could subject the proposer to disqualification. Any Bidder may withdraw their bid at any time prior to the time specified in this Request for Bids as the closing time for the receipt of bids, by signing a request therefore. However, no Bidder shall withdraw or cancel their bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after said advertised closing time for the receipt of bids; the successful Bidder shall not withdraw or cancel their bid after having been notified by the Director of Public Works or his designee that said bid has been accepted by the Village Board of Trustees. The bid will be awarded in whole or in part to the responsible Bidder or Bidders whose bids, conforming to the request for bids, will be most advantageous to the Village; price and other factors considered. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or to waive technicalities, or to accept any item of any bid.
