Renovation of a mixed-use development in Plainview, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 12,966-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.
As of November 29, 2022, construction is underway and nearing completion. No further inquiries to be accepted. Plans call for the renovation of an existing school performing arts center. Scope includes; new walls to create ticket booth, demolition of existing orchestra pit and extension of stage area, new electrical, new walls, new seating, new millwork and finishes. Fire alarm and sprinklers o be modified per code requirements. Notice is hereby given that the Plainview Independent School District will receive sealed competitive proposals for the PHS Auditorium Renovation A proposal packet may be obtained from the Plainview ISD Education Complex, 2417 Yonkers St., Plainview, TX 79072 or request by email to: becca.dunlap@plainv iewisd.org. Plainview Independent School District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids/proposals and to waive any irregularities, technicalities, or informalities in any bid/proposal or in the bid/proposal process. Scope This project consists of the Renovation of the Existing Plainview High School Auditorium. Work includes: New walls to create a ticket booth and in-house sound/lighting control station, demolition of existing Orchestra Pit and extension of the stage area and close in Orchestra Pit, new electrical and theatrical lighting, replace existing seating, new millwork, new wall finishes, replace flooring, replace wall acoustical treatments, new curtains, new stage rigging, coordination with Owner's Asbestos Abatement Vendor, and fire alarm/sprinkler modifications per Code requirements.
