The Agawam Public Library Interior Painting The work shall include but is not limited to all work in preparation and application of coatings, removal of dust, excess filler, rust and contaminants, and coatings on all new interior drywall and drywall components, new wood, new steel doors and trim, as well as patch to match all areas disturbed by other trades within the building area, including but not limited to walls and other visible areas affected by the work of this project. The work also includes preparation of all walls and surfaces as shown on the Plans, and furnishing and installing coatings as per the Plans and Specifications, including but not limited to: a. All labor, material and appliances or services necessary for the completion of the work, including but not limited to the following sub-paragraphs: i. Existing drywall: ii. New drywall: iii. Existing block walls: iv. Handrails: v. Wood trim to receive paint: vi. Wood trim to receive clear coatings: vii. Grills and registers: viii. New doors and frames- (all surfaces): ix. Existing doors and frames - (all surfaces): x. All other surfaces to receive paint within the space as per the Plans and Specifications, and as to provide a complete job: b. Remove dust, rust, dirt, excess filler, rust oils, et al and other materials and contaminants (including but not limited to dust, rust, grease, oil, slag, et al) from the new and existing areas to be coated and as shown on plans. c. Final sanding and dust removal of all debris and other contaminants, including but not limited to oil, dust, grease or slag on existing surfaces, and on all areas to receive coatings. d. The intent is to provide a complete finish over all areas to be coated, including but not limited to all components of the panelized wall system, door, door trim, and plastic and wood moldings, as well as preparation work for areas where major damage has occurred requiring wall or surface repair prior to coatings.
