The work generally consists of demolition, grading, concrete flatwork, concrete foundations, temporary fencing, shelters and installation, and miscellaneous related improvements required by the contract documents.
The work covers park rehabilitation improvements to the existing Rynerson Park in Lakewood, California.
No bid will be considered unless it is made on a bid proposal form furnished by the City. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified cashier's check, or a bidder's bond made payable to the City of Lakewood for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, such guarantee to be forfeited should the bidder to. whom the contract is awarded fail to furnish the required bonds and insurance and enter into a contract with the City within the period of time provided by the proposal requirements.
The City of Lakewood hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, disability, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.
The contractor and subcontractors shall, at the time of bidding and award of contract, be licensed in accordance with the laws of the State of California for the type of work to be performed. **Only those firms/contractors/companies who have a representative in attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference, and who has acknowledged their presence by signing the sign-in sheet during the time a staff member is present, will be considered eligible to bid as a prime contractor on the project.
