The Chelmsford Housing Authority (CHA) is seeking bids from Contractors for Elevator Maintenance and Repairs Service Contract. The CHA anticipates entering into a one (1) year contract for such services with an option to renew for an additional two (2) one (1) year periods. Renewal is at the sole discretion of the awarding authority. The estimated cost is $150,000 for 11 passenger elevators. Bids are to be endorsed with the name and address of the bidder and clearly marked with the applicable contract name and number at which time bids will be opened. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) as a Prime Contractor in the category of Elevators. DCAMM certification required by DHCD if contract value is over $100,00. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the total bid. The Chelmsford Housing Authority reserves the right to award and/or reject any or all proposals or to cancel this Invitation to Bid, if it is in best interest of the Housing Authority to do so. All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 149, as amended.
