The DPW Engineering Division proposes the design and construction necessary for the rehabilitation of the School Street over Stony Brook Bridge. This project involves repairs to the stone masonry arch and replacement of existing concrete block retaining walls. Bridge deficiencies to both the masonry arch and the existing concrete block retaining walls were noted in a 2017 bridge inspection report. The 2017 report indicates that repointing of masonry, vegetation management, and rehabilitation to the 4 existing wing walls are required. The existing wing walls are undermined, causing the wing walls to settle. FY-2024 *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
