Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a water / sewer project in Knoxville, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a 500-square-foot water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a 782-square-foot water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project generally includes upgrades at the Wastewater Reclamation Facility including a 782 SF precast expansion on existing building; new 500 SF precast building on existing foundation; retrofit for UV disinfection installation in former chlorine contract basin; replacement of clarifier mechanisms on three primary clarifiers, two intermediate clarifiers, and two final clarifiers; replacement of two trickling filter distributors; replacement of nine sluice gates; process pipe relocations; electrical/controls upgrades; and miscellaneous associated work Contractor shall fully complete and make fully operational the UV Disinfection portion of the project no later than November 30, 2022. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per calendar day will be assessed for each calendar day that the UV Disinfection process is not fully functioning to the satisfaction of the Owner. The Contractor shall fully complete the entirety of the project no later than March 31, 2023. Should the contractor fail to complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated contract term. 75N-R19W-S5, 2107
