Renovation of a library in Revere, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

Project shall be completed in 30 days from the start of the project. Invoice/s shall be submitted to the Revere Public Library, 179 Beach Street, Revere, MA 02151. Refinishing of existing quarter sawn white oak flooring at the Revere Public Library Total estimated S.F. = 1460 S.F. in (2) 730 S.F. area(s). Total refinishing work not to exceed 1560 S.F.. Repairs of damaged areas highlighted in the attached document. Square footage of repairs estimated at appx. 60 S.F. (See sheet 2) - total work not to exceed 80 S.F. Reconstruction of two (2) trap doors and fixed trap doors, see sketch (separate from repair areas). Trap doors measure six (6) S.F. each, two (2) are to be rebuilt under this quote Repair area measurements are approximate, and the contractor shall plan for completing up to an additional 20 S.F. of repair work if necessary. All repairs to be made in quarter sawn white oak matching the width and look of existing flooring (sample to be provided). Floorboards measure 3" wide (to be verified by the Contractor). Refinishing to include 1 coat of sealer and 4 coats of finish (oil based). Coat 1 = sealer Coat 2 = gloss Coat 3 = gloss Coat 4 = matte Coat 5 = matte Surface to be screened between coats. Coat 5 is not to be screened. Sanding equipment shall be equipped to capture dust as it is produced. All necessary measures of dust control are to be established such that saw dust does not travel beyond the immediate work areas. All such dust shall be cleaned by the bidder to the satisfaction of the Library Director. All shelves to be protected with plastic. Sanding to be completed in 5 cuts, 24, 36, 60, 80 and 100 grit sandpaper. Entire floor to be screened with 120 grit paper before oil-based seal coat is applied
