The scope of work for this contract consists of the Contractor furnishing all supervision, engineering, labor, materials, and equipment to perform the following work in strict accordance with the detailed requirements of these specifications: a. Design, prepare drawings and data, manufacture, shop test, prepare and load for shipment, and deliver free on-board destination 16 complete ABB digital static excitation systems for the Chief Joseph Power Plant. b. Remove 16 existing excitation systems, to include all existing cabinets and associated equipment as specified. c. Install and commission sixteen excitation systems at Chief Joseph Power Plant, including floor repair as well as furnishing and installing wire, cable, bus, conduit, meters, switches, and all other required appurtenances. All wires associated with the excitation system are to be replaced. d. Refurbish collector rings and the existing spare collector ring set. e. Replace (in kind) collector ring brushes and brush holder springs. f. Furnish and install shaft grounding brushes. g. Conduct equipment model validation tests and prepare test report suitable for use by the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC). h. (Optional) Replace up to four collector rings.
