The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions under which Contractor is to provide trash services. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) all labor, trash and recycle bins, equipment, travel, incidentals, and to pay all associated costs, fees, and taxes, necessary to provide trash and recycling collection, hauling, and disposal services as described herein. This Agreement will commence on March 1, 2022 (estimate), or upon approval by the Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by DGS. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement shall expire on February 28, 2025 (estimate). The services shall be provided during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. On occasion, Contractor may be required to provide services outside of normal business hours, including on weekends and holidays, to complete additional, on-call, as-needed trash pick-up, hauling and disposal services, as determined in the sole discretion of Caltrans Contract Manager. The parties may amend this Agreement as permitted by law. Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by 12:00 p.m. on January 26, 2022.
