Work to be performed under this contract shall include all labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary to install 650 linear feet of guide rail and end treatments as directed by Cascade Township officials. All quantities listed are approximate. All materials shall be PENNDOT approved. Clarification Deadline: 4/1/2022 12:00 PM All work must be completed by July 7, 2022. Bidders can either be a PennDOT Pre-qualified Prime or PennDOT Pre-qualified Sub-Contractor and proof of pre-qualification is required with the submission of any bid. All guiderail installed shall be compliant with the Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH) 2016 and shall conform to PennDOT Bulletin 15 for approved construction materials. The Bidder, the Bidder's sub-contractors and material suppliers shall provide materials and perform work in strict accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications, Publication 408/2020 (including latest revisions). Each bidder is required to bid on the total project. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check made payable to 'Township of Cascade' in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The successful bidder shall provide a performance bond or certified check to the municipality in the amount of 100% of the contract and a payment bond or certified check to the municipality in the amount of 100% of the contract within seven (7) business days after the contract is awarded. All Bidders must complete and submit with their bid the fully completed non-collusion affidavit. This project is subject to PA Prevailing Wages Project Rates as published by the Department of Labor and Industry in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Township of Cascade reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, or to negotiate contract amounts.
