Site work and renovation of a civil project in Columbus, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of the following major elements: The reconditioning of three (3) welded steel elevated water storage tanks: 500,000 Gallon Cody Road Back Tank, 500,000 Gallon Schatulga Road Tank, and 500,000 Gallon County Line Road Tank and an alternate bid items for the reconditioning of the Uchee Creek 50,000 gallon standpipe and the North Columbus Water Resource Facility Clearwell. This will include the complete removal and replacement of the existing interior and exterior protective coating systems and repair of miscellaneous tank accessories for the base bid tanks. The alternate bid tanks include an exterior and interior coating system for the Uchee Creek Standpipe and exterior coatings for the North Columbus Water Resource Facility concrete clearwell. The base bid tanks, County Line Road, Schatulga Road, and Cody Road Back Tanks are funded through GEFA, all pertinent federal requirements apply. The Uchee Creek Standpipe is located on Fort Benning and if the work is included in the Contract, the Contractor will have to meet the requirements included in Appendix B, Columbus Water Works/Fort Benning Contractor-Subcontractor Agreement.
