All proposals shall be sealed and endorsed for the Bradford Drive and Herbert Road Water Main Replacement and addressed to Wade Calhoun, City Manager, at the address shown above and either hand delivered or received by mail prior to the opening date and time. The bidders may be required to give references and such other detailed information as will enable the owner to judge responsibility, experience, skill, and financial standing. Bids from contractors inexperienced in this particular type of work will not be awarded a contract. Bidders must comply with the Davis Bacon wage rates on Public Improvements in Mahoning County and the City of Canfield, Ohio, as determined by the United States Department of Labor at 1-866-487-9243. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.
