White County Commissioners (and their Agent Garmong Construction Services), Monticello, Indiana, shall accept sealed bids for work at White County Coroner's Office (a new building) in Monticello, Indiana, under unified prime contract for the following: General Construction, which shall include the work required to develop the site and construct the new build-ing as outlined in the bid documents and further described in Section 011000 - Summary. The bids shall be enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope, properly marked with the name, place of business and phone number of the Bidder and bear the following: Sealed Bid For: White County Commissioners White County Coroner's Office Building Project Monticello, IN Include the applicable contract title from the following: BID FOR GENERAL CONSTRUCTION White County Coroner's Office Building Drawings, Project Manual, and other Bidding Documents are on file and may be examined at the following places effective 1. Garmong Construction Services (email Keith Bruner, kbruner@garmong.net) for .pdf files of the construction documents set) Bidders shall submit financial data as recent as possible and in no event more than 180 days old. Bid security of not less than 10% of the total amount of the highest bid amount submitted shall be submitted in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or a bid bond. Bid bonds shall be executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the Owner and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. Check or bid bond shall be made payable to White County Commissioners.
Each bidder shall include in his proposal the cost of a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. Each bidder shall include in his proposal the cost of a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. The bonds shall be executed by the Bidder and by a surety company with an A.M. Best rating of A- or better, approved by the Owner and qualified to business in the State of Indiana. Bonds shall be executed on AIA Form A312. Bonds shall be made payable to White County Commissioners. The OWNER, reserves the right to reject any or all bids as a whole or in part, if a bid is deemed to be incomplete or likely harmful to the owner. The OWNER, may exercise the right, at its discretion, to waive any information or technicalities in the bidding so long as the intent and purpose of this notice has been conformed with, and to re-advertise. Construction is expected to begin in March or April 2022. The Owners designated timeframe for construction is 270 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
