The contract will consist of furnishing a main frame free span, roof system only type metal building to extend to an existing building. The City may, however, reject all bids whenever it is deemed in the best interest of the City. The City may also waive any minor informalities or irregularities in any bid. City of Northport Public Works is accepting sealed bids for a main frame free span, roof system only type metal building measuring 125'x40'x16'-2:12 Roof Pitch-5 Bays at 25' Bidder must submit (1) 24x36 set AL Structural Engineer stamped plans and the electronic format in PDF for footing design and building design within 30 days of receiving purchase order number. Building will not be on a slab. Bidder installing building will provide all materials for footing to include labor, concrete and anchor bolts. Materials must be bid as itemized with all items priced and successful bid will be based on low total dollar lump sum. Materials bid must meet description specifications. Materials not meeting exact specifications shall be so noted on the proposal. Approved equals must be verified by bidder and acceptance is at option of the city. Preference will be to products as specified. The city reserves the right to waive all irregularities and accept the bid which it considers the best buy for the city. Delivery to the building site at 1781 Harper Road, Northport, AL 35476 shall be the responsibility of the bidder, no later than 60 days after receiving the purchase order number.
