Due to the current events associated with the coronavirus, attendance will be limited to one representative per company at the bid opening meeting. You will be required to maintain social distancing as well as wear a mask upon entrance to the building and during the meetings. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond acceptable to the Owner, payable to the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County, in an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the bid total. The deposits of the two (2) lowest bidders will be retained until the lease agreement is delivered and complete, but the deposits of all other bidders will be returned immediately following the bid opening. Should the successful bidder fail to deliver the contract in conformity with the form of Agreement, his proposal security shall be forfeited to the Authority as liquidated damages. THE MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY OF WESTMORELAND COUNTY CURRENTLY OWNS THE GRANULAR ACTIVTED CARBON IN THE FILTERS. The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid received, to reject any bid(s), or to accept any bid it deems in its best interest.
