This project is a School Facilities Project (SFB) and funding is contingent on approval from the SFB Board. Question submission deadline January 28, 2019, 5:00 p.m It is anticipated that a Notice to Proceed may be issued approximately April 13, 2022. Substantial completion is to be 180 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed or the date established in the Progress Schedule agreed upon with, and approved by, the District. A Bidder must provide acceptable bid security for the full price stated in the Offer. Acceptable bid security is a certified or cashier's check or an annual or one-time bid bond issued by a security company authorized to do business in the State and rated "B+" or higher in Best's Guide in the amount of the full price stated in the Offer. An Offer submitted without acceptable bid security is nonresponsive. o Upon award of Contract, Contractor must provide to District acceptable performance and payment bonds for the full price of the Contract, including sales tax, from a surety company authorized to do business in the State. Existing interior kitchen renovation of the SFB 1007/1008 Building. Rebuild of select interior walls and infill of existing openings. Replacement of existing wood doors with new hollow metal doors. New floor finish and installation of fiberglass reinforced paneling throughout. Relocation of existing food service equipment and installation of new food service equipment. Various MP&E modifications throughout. A. Provide all labor, material, and equipment required for miscellaneous demolition, repairs, as indicated on the drawings and as specified herein. Work includes compliance with all Bidding and Contract Requirements. B. Construction limits and contractor staging area for the project shall be arranged with the Owner, but in general, the contractor shall have access to the roof areas as required to execute the work but with accommodation for ongoing school operations. C. Contractor shall be required at all times to exercise care and concern for the safety and well being of other persons on the site, as well as adjacent to the site, regarding debris, operationof equipment, etc. Contractor may assume that all work required for this project may be performed during Contractor's regular working hours (This stipulation shall not be interpreted to relieve the Contractor from performing such work on an overtime basis as may be necessary to complete the work within the contract period.) D. Contractor shall erect temporary construction barriers to segregate the work area from ongoing school operations, including construction fencing to secure front entry. Owner shall provide signage and pedestrian traffic control. E. Comply with all locally adopted building codes and standards.
