All projects are to be placed, graded and compacted during the graveling operation. Cranberry Lake - 3" of 23A Gravel from Cass County to Day Road for 1.27 Miles Delong Road - 3" of 23A Gravel from Mt Zion Road to Floating Bridge Road for 1.03 Miles Covey Road - 3" of 23A Gravel from Correll Road to Shannon Road for 1.01 Miles Day Road - 3" of 22A from Cranberry Lake Road to existing gravel surface for 1.60 Miles The final completion and open to traffic date is September 30, 2022. Day Road For the placement of 22A gravel for Day Road the contractor must coordinate with the St. Joseph County Road Commission. St. Joseph County Road Commission will remove trees, install culverts, ditch and prep Day Road before placement of 22A by the contractor. The month of the placement of Day Road will be in May of 2022 and MUST be completed prior to The St. Joseph County Road Commission starting their sealcoating season Cranberry Lake Road, Delong Road, Covey Road The placement of 23A gravel on these roads may be completed at any time of the year before the contract deadline of September 30, 2022. It shall be in a sealed envelope marked with the name and address of the vendor on the outside of the envelope. The above referenced Invitation to Bid should also be highlighted on the outside of the envelope. In addition, if the bid is to be express mailed, "Bid Documents Enclosed" must be conspicuously marked on the package. Facsimile and/or e-mail transmitted bids will not be accepted. The Road Commission reserves the right to accept any and all alternate proposals, bids or quotes and to award the contract to other than the lowest Contractor, waive any irregularities or informalities or both, to reject any and all bids, quotes and proposals, and in general to make the award of the contract in any manner deemed by the Respective Board, at its sole discretion, to be in the Road Commission's best interest.
