The work consists of the furnishing and installing of pavement markings including, but not limited to, centerline, edgeline, stop line, crosswalks, lane line, diagonal line, railroad crossing, parking stalls, arrows and symbols throughout the City of Watertown. Work may consist of the removal of existing pavement markings prior to the seal coating of streets (by others). Pre-Qualification:Yes There will not be a Prebid meeting for this project. The City of Watertown reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for sixty (60) days after the time set for opening Bids. Bidders shall prequalify with the City on forms in the bidding documents or on forms supplied by the Contractor not less than five (5) days before the opening of Bids. Scope: The work that shall be done under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, machinery, and appliances, except where specified to the contrary, to complete epoxy pavement marking and all appurtenant work covered by this contract. The removal of existing water based, epoxy and thermo-plastic pavement marking prior to seal coating may be awarded as an alternate bid item if deemed necessary by Owner. Maps showing the locations of the various pavement markings throughout the City will be provided to the CONTRACTOR with contract documents. Additional maps can be made available upon request. Base bid work and alternate bid work are shown on the project maps. Updated maps will be presented to the successful low bidder showing all awarded work.
