Site work and paving for a civil project in Crownpoint, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and bridge / tunnel.

To obtain ROW, plan, design, and/or construct the surfacing, drainage, base course, hot mix asphalt 3", rock excavation of N7770, N7114, and N4875 - approximately 9 miles. The project is to chip seal the roads. Phase I (Year 1-2)archaeological and environmental studies, obtain ROW, planning, and/or design. Phase II (Year 3-4) construction including surfacing, drainage, base course, hot mix asphalt, rock excavation, culvert installation i.e. rock or gravel or concrete versus sand; and effective drainage systems. Design of the roads will meet all applicable criteria including design for lower maintenance cost; improve ride quality, fuel economy, appearance. Navajo Division of Transportation will own and maintain the roads and Navajo Nation will be the fiscal agent. The project is included in the 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
