Saving Project...

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Elyria, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The work consists of converting the chlorine contact tank to an Ultraviolet disinfection channel utilizing two UV banks that can handle peak flows of 840,000 gpd. All materials and equipment must meet the plans and specifications as approved by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and work performed shall be under the supervision of the Lorain County Sanitary Engineer. All contractors involved with this project will to an extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in implementation of this project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities if it is deemed in the best interest of Lorain County to do so. Any interpretation, correction or modification to the specifications desired shall be in writing to J. R. White, County Administrator, 226 Middle Avenue, Elyria, Ohio 44035, and must be received at least four (4) working days prior to the date of bid opening.
