Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for the renovation of a transportation facility; and water / sewer project.

This project provides for the construction of a new Gate 269 located on the north half of the Avis Budget staging lot. This project includes a new access roadway, double trap gate system, security screening building with full utilities and a canopy, relocated entrance and additional parking for Avis Budget rental cars, and removal of the existing Gate 269. Major items of work include the following: General Building Construction (Concrete, Masonry, Steel, Flooring, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) Allowances Airport Security Traffic Control Mobilization Miscellaneous Removals Signs Excavation Sediment Control Concrete Pavement Bituminous Pavement Aggregate Base Concrete Curb and Walk Pavement Marking Fence / Gates / Posts Turf Establishment / Landscaping Watermain Sanitary Sewer Storm Sewer Electrical Construction The goal of the MAC for the utilization of Targeted Group Businesses on this project is 14%. Each bid shall be accompanied by a "Bid Security" in the form of a certified check made payable to the MAC in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, or a surety bond in the same amount, running to the MAC, with the surety company thereon duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota. Such Bid Security to be a guarantee that the bidder will not, without the consent of the MAC, withdraw its bid for a period of (70) days after the opening of bids, and, if awarded the Contract, will enter into a contract with the MAC, and in connection therewith, give Payment and Performance Bonds as required by law and on forms furnished to the Contractor by the MAC. In the event the Bidder fails to enter into a Contract, the amount of the certified check will be retained or the bond enforced by the MAC. The bid of the lowest responsible bidder, provided said low bidder has made a good faith effort to meet the TGB contract goal, will be accepted on or before the expiration of (70) days after the date of the opening of bids. The MAC, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularities, informalities or discrepancies.
