The Talbot County Department of Corrections is requesting sealed proposals for the procurement of a comprehensive video and recording security system for the Talbot County Department of Corrections pursuant to the specifications outlined in the Request for Proposals. The goal of this solicitation is to provide for the protection of staff, inmates and arrestees held within the Talbot County Department of Corrections located at 115 West Dover Street, Easton, Maryland 21601. The correctional facility has a capacity of 148 beds which houses local inmates and inmates in federal custody for the United States Marshal's Service and is staffed by 55 County and Contractual personnel. SCOPE OF WORK for this project includes replacement of existing analog camera and recording system after first evaluating existing conditions and making recommendations to upgrade and improve security management of the Detention Center. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid, or portion thereof, when in their reasoned judgment the general public will be better served. CONTRACT TERM: The initial term of the Contract shall be one (1) year. The County reserves the right to extend the Contract term depending on availability of funds.
