Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 63,423-square-foot multi-residential development; for site work for a multi-residential development; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and 40-unit multi-residential development.

The Housing Authority of the County of Kern is soliciting bids from subcontractors needed to build the 40- unit 6th Street Apartments to be located at 1201 6th Street, Bakersfield, CA. Subcontractors must be licensed in accordance with provisions of Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code. All subcontractors will be required to obtain the required business license. Subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). All Subcontractors will be responsible for submitting electronic certified payroll reports directly to the Labor Commissioner (Division of Labor Standards Enforcement). Subcontractors must pay the higher of Davis Bacon or State prevailing wages for all work completed onsite. In addition, subcontractors must comply with State apprenticeship requirements. The Housing Authority hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religious creed, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. Contractor shall maintain limits no less than: 1. General Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence for Bodily Injury, Personal Injury, and Property Damage. If Commercial General Liability Insurance or other form with a general aggregate limit is used, either the general aggregate limit shall apply separately to the project/location or the general aggregate limit shall be twice the required occurrence limit. Automobile Liability: $1,000,000 per accident for Bodily Injury and Property Damage Workers' Compensation (statutory) and Employer's Liability: $1,000,000 per accident for Bodily Injury or Disease.
