The Town is seeking to enter into an agreement with one or more licensed septic tank installers to provide baseline septic system inspection services on an on-call basis for approximately 200 systems. DUE DATE FOR WRITTEN QUESTIONS: Friday, February 4th at 5:00 p.m. 843-795-4141 info@jamesislandsc.us A baseline inspection means a thorough evaluation of an operating private sewage system to determine whether the system is functioning as designed, is not exhibiting signs of failure, and is being operated properly. A pump out of the system is required for a baseline inspection to properly examine the interior of the tank and to check for leaks from the house or saturated conditions in the drainfield. All inspections and pump outs must be performed by septic contractors with valid SCDHEC licenses. The contract would be for one (1) year and the Town may, at its sole option, renew the contract for two (2) successive one (1) year terms for a not to exceed length of three (3) years. ontract, to pay any cost incurred in the preparation of bids submitted, or to procure or contract for the services. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any, all or any part of bids received as a result of this request, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this Invitation for Bids if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so. The Town will be the sole judge as to whether bids submitted meet all requirements contained in this solicitation. Only the Submittal of the successful Offeror(s) shall be available for public inspection after the award of a Contract, and upon written request, during normal business hours, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
