Projected Project Start March 2022 The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The City of Asheville is requesting proposals from qualified, licensed landscape contractors with deep horticultural knowledge to successfully maintain heavily used turf areas on parks and recreational facilities. Correct horticultural practices for keeping the turf areas mowed at the proper height. Edging sidewalks adjacent to the turf areas and string trimming areas not reachable by mowing equipment. Blowing clumped up clippings from turf areas after mowing and also removing clippings from sidewalks or mulched areas. : These 17 properties are set on 118 acres of recreational parks that provide activities for both citizens of the community and visitors to our city. The facilities encompass the Southern Appalachian landscape highlighted with rolling hills, valleys, rivers and streams and beautiful native landscapes. These Parks combine both newly renovated turf with the grasses originally sowed at construction.
