Renovation of a military facility in Huntsville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding $50,000.00 must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama 1975. Each bidder must show evidence of licensing by clearly displaying the license number issued to the bidding organization on the sealed envelope in which the bid is delivered. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed by the State of Alabama prior to the date of the submission of their bid will be considered. The scope of work consists of electric line construction and repair throughout Redstone Arsenal within Madison County. As a prerequisite for qualification, only those General Contractors who have performed similar type of work and have a successful record of substantial public construction experience within the last five (5) years need apply. Similar type work shall be defined as Respondent's experience and past performance on projects of similar contract value, type, and capacity. A bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities, for an amount of $10,000.00 will be required to accompany each Contractor's bid. The right to reject any and all Respondents and Bids is reserved. Questions will be accepted until 2/23/2022
