Federal# / IRIS Program#: 0620010 / NFHWY00158 Region: Northern Region Improve intersections in North Pole at Santa Claus Lane and East 5th Avenue, and North Pole High School Boulevard at Old Richardson Highway and 8th Avenue. Work will include roadside hardware and utilities. The railroad crossings will also be improved to current standards. On the Job Trainees/Apprentices (item 645): 0 Trainee(s), 0 Hours Engineer's Estimate Range: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 AKDOT - Old Richardson Highway Intersection Improvements *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The existing GCI pole at ~STA "5E" 11+10 in ARRC ROW is in conflict with this project. GCI will relocate their overhead coax and fiber optic facilities to a bored crossing at 4th Ave and remove the existing crossing and pole at 5 th Avenue. GCI will coordinate with DOT and ARRC for the proposed work. DOT Utilities has reviewed the proposed 4th Avenue crossing one line design and intends to issue a permit for the work. Existing pole at the 5th Ave. crossing will be removed on or before June 15, 2022. DBE Utilization Goal of 8.28%
