The existing York Chiller has exceeded the life expectancy and will be replaced with a new 100-ton Carrier unit. The intent of this solicitation is to award an agency contract. Submit Written Questions Vendor February 1, 2022 @5:00PM Provide Response to Questions State February 2, 2022 @5:00PM GENERAL a. This is a direct equipment replacement of the existing chiller. b. The chiller will be placed back into the exact location of the existing chiller. c. Coordination of safety for removal is required and should be communicated with Gaston College Facilities Department. d. Coordination of parking lot preparation to be communicated with Gaston College Facilities Department. SPECIFICATIONS Scope of Work: • Provide and Install a new Carrier chiller to replace the York Chiller located on the roof. • Disconnect the existing electrical, control wiring and piping. • Remove the existing York chiller from the roof. • Set new Carrier chiller. • Reconnect the control wiring. • Reconnect the electrical. • Replace the shut off valves in the entering and leaving chilled water lines. • Install new pipe from the valves to connect to the Carrier chiller. • Use the existing chilled water pump. • Install new pipe insulation from the wall to the chiller. • Factory Start up and operational check out.
