Renovation of a swimming pool in Collingwood, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
This Request for Bids is an invitation by the Town of Collingwood to qualified bidders to submit non-binding bids for the provision of services to tile the main pool at Centennial Aquatic Centre as further described in the RFQ Particulars. The work will include: - Contractor shall be responsible for measuring and determining the correct square footage of material to be installed and used. - hydro blast all surfaces in the pool with 40,000 psi power washer to completely remove all existing paint; - repair any concrete that is cracked or chipped by V-cutting, filling with epoxy and covering with non-shrink grout; - waterproof entire concrete tank as per manufactures recommended instructions; - remove expansion joint material and replace with new material; - supply and install tile as per manufactures recommended instructions (tile to match the existing tile colour in therapeutic pool or as close as possible) on all surfaces of the pool tank; - include all depth markings, swim lanes, and warnings as per the Public Health Act as it pertains to public swimming pool; - grout the entire pool with epoxy grout; - replace all return fittings with new directional flow inlet fittings and ensure that they are operationally sound; - remove all haze from tiles prior to filling the pool; - remove all debris and trash generated in performing the work under this contract from the site at the end of the project.
