PROJECT DESCRIPTION Building: Corbett Gym Location: Women's Basketball Shower Room Project: This is a turnkey project to install new privacy walls in the Women's Basketball Shower Room. This project will modify the existing shower room to meet ADA and university requirements. Brief Description: The University is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, services, and supervision required to install Plastic Core (HDPE) mounted partitions in the existing shower compartments using the appropriate methods for installation in accordance with the specifications herein.. Specification: The contractor is instructed to modify and install new Plastic Core (HDPE) mounted shower partitions that meet ADA compliance for one shower stall. The shower partition system shall be a minimum of 48 inches wide, 55 inches long from the adjacent shower wall and 66 inches high from floor. The contractor will install in each shower two hooks. The contractor will remove five (5) existing lighting fixtures and replace with new LED moisture resistant/wet location rated fixtures in the ceiling. PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK o Total approximately 220 sf. o Plumbing: o All twelve (12) shower valves which are Simmons safety mix to be rebuilt with new spindles and chrome trim kits. o Install new shower arms and shower heads to match existing. o One (1) shower head on the left side (inactive side) must be repaired first which may include penetrating the wall. o Contractor must turn water off to the entire building to isolate shower lines.
