Renovation of a detention facility in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
In general the work consists of: replacement of the existing 500kW exterior diesel generator with a new exterior pad mounted 500kW diesel generator. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. Failure to visit the site or failure to examine any and all Contract Documents will in no way relieve the successful contractor from necessity of furnishing any materials or equipment, or performing any work, that may be required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents
