Saving Project...

This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Beaumont, Texas. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The Lower Neches Valley Authority (LNVA) is accepting bids from firms or individuals interested in a seasonal mowing contract for a one (1) calendar year term with an option for two (2) additional, one (1) calendar year renewal terms. The areas to be mowed will consist of levee tops, mild side slopes, other canal rights-of-way, and miscellaneous properties owned by LNVA totaling approximately 650 acres in size. This contract will be awarded to a single bidder. Acreages shown in these contract documents and the exhibits enclosed in the Appendix are estimated quantities. LNVA has made its best effort to accurately depict the amount of work to be performed under this contract; however, no specific quantity of work is guaranteed by this contract. Contractor shall satisfy himself that the depicted quantities are reasonably accurate to his satisfaction prior to submittal of a bid proposal. The mowing season begins on or about April 1st and ends on or about November 30th of each year. The mowing season is subject to fluctuation as weather conditions will ultimately determine the length of the mowing season. This contract is for the 2022 calendar year. If the LNVA wishes to extend the contract into the 2023 or 2024 calendar years, it is at that time the LNVA and the Contractor may renegotiate and mutually agree upon a unit price for the project areas and renew the contract for the additional periods. In any case, the renegotiated unit price will not increase by more than ten percent (10%) from one year to the next. In general, the project has been divided into four (4) separate sections which are detailed in the exhibits included in the Appendix. Each section is represented on the bid form as a separate bid item. The intent of this contract is to mow each of the project areas a minimum of three (3) times annually, each mowing timed to occur equally spaced across the mowing season. From time to time and as circumstances permit, LNVA may direct the Contractor to mow selected project areas either more or less frequently. The cost for such directed mowing will be the unit cost bid for the section in which the directed mowing is located.
