Site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Florence, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
In general, the project includes the relocation of approximately 1,680 linear feet of 6" steel gas main for the construction of a new bridge. A directional bore approximately 474' long is required beneath Cypress Creek with a 12" steel casing. Line stops with full bypasses are required at both ends. General Contractors who bid must obtain documents from QuestCDN. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price or $10,000 payable without recourse to the City of Florence, AL. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after Notice of Award. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and payment bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price upon the forms provided.
