Upgrades, repairs and alterations to six buildings located in the central part of the Royal Victoria Hospital site to install a new 13-storey 540,000 sq ft McGill University pavilion to bring together research in sustainable development and public policy departments. This project is subject to the directive on the management of major public infrastructure projects (hereinafter referred to as "the Directive") of the Secretariat of the Treasury Board of the Government of Quebec (TBS). Pavilions A, L and E dating from 1893 will be preserved and restored. Pavilions M, S and T dating from the 1950s will be demolished as well as the rear part of pavilion A, which has less heritage value. New constructions will be implemented in the front yard and in the north sector of the site, behind the heritage buildings. The value of the construction program amounts to $385 million. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded the firm Pomerleau inc. to provide construction management services following the second stage of the Request for proposals C0002517. Note. The main construction project is being followed in the report under CRM ID name Projet Nouveau Vic - McGill Pavilion Development.
