Magnesium Chloride material and services for a period of one year. The purpose of these bids is to establish a contract to provide said materials and services specified, as required by the Meade County Highway Department. All bid prices will be legally binding from February 14th, 2022 to February 14th, 2023. Meade County does not guarantee the purchase of any minimum or maximum quantity of material or level of services required during the term of the contract. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided by the Meade County Highway Department Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a bank draft of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Meade County or in lieu thereof, a bid bond of 10% of the bid amount, issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota, as a guarantee that such bidder will enter into a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond for one hundred (100%) of the bid amount. All bonds must be issued or co-signed by a licensed agent All materials shall conform with the South Dakota Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges 2015 Edition. By virtue of statutory authority of SDCL 5-18A-25, preference will be given to materials, products and supplies found or produced within the State of South Dakota. The Meade County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities therein, and to accept the bid that is to the advantage and in the best interest of Meade County.
