Gravel is to conform to South Dakota Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges 2015 Edition, Section 882.2 Gravel Surfacing Specifications. The County is requesting 60,000 tons of gravel crushed and stockpiled in or near Section 33, Township 6N Range 6E. Completion deadline for the project will be November 1, 2022. Bidders must use bid forms furnished by Meade County. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or a Bank Draft of 5% of the amount Bid, made payable to Meade County or in lieu thereof, a Bid Bond of 10% of the amount Bid, issued by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota as a guarantee that such Bidder will enter into a Contract in accordance with the terms of the Bid. Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond for one hundred (100%) of the amount Bid. All bonds must be issued or co-signed by a licensed agent. The Meade County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities therein, and to accept the Bid that is to the advantage and best interest of Meade County.
