The Town of Grand Chute is hereby requesting bids be submitted to establish a contract for the removal of Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) trees. The work, in general, shall include removal of approximately 150 EAB trees within parks, terraces and other public lands. The Town of Grand Chute reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, waive any informalities in Bidding or to accept the Bid or Bids which best serves the interests of the Town of Grand Chute. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening. A Proof of Responsibility (PreQualification) Form for this Contract must be filed in the office of the Public Works Department not later than 4:00 p.m., local time, five (5) days prior to the opening of bids which the bidder wishes to qualify. This shall be done on forms furnished by the Town of Grand Chute, and must be filled out in proper manner and then submitted to the Department of Public Works for consideration. The bidder shall show sufficient ability, equipment and experience to properly perform the Contract. No Bid shall be received unless accompanied by a Certified Check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to the Town of Grand Chute in an amount not less than 10% of the maximum Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the Contract, Performance/Payment Bonds and Insurance Certification, as required by the Contract Documents, within 15-days after the Notice of Award.
