As of March 21, 2024 project was awarded to Vinton Construction, awarded amount is $1,140,515,93. West Evergreen Drive is currently a rural road section with asphalt pavement, gravel shoulders, and ditches to convey local storm water. The proposed concrete urban street section will consist of two 12' travel lanes and a 14' center/left turn lane with curb and gutter. An 8' wide, multi-use trail will also be constructed along the north side of Evergreen Drive. The project shall include approximately 11,170 cubic yards of common excavation, 2,540 cubic yards of gravel road base, 11,207 square yards of 8-inch doweled concrete pavement, 5,600 square feet of concrete approaches of varying depth for adjacent properties, 2,850 square yards of asphalt to be used for pavement transitions and the multi-use trail, and 6,900 square yards of landscape turf restoration. Cooperation will be necessary with the selected utility contractor to provide coordination while transitioning from the utility contract to the paving contract (separate bids). The project extends approximately 2,565 lineal feet on West Evergreen Drive and is located between the intersections of Holland Road and Vandenbroek Road.
