Sealed bids for the award of a Contract for the following: BID NO. 22-005 ESUSD Middle School Science Lab Classroom/Band & MPR Projects Science Lab Classroom - Alteration of existing PE Classroom and fitness center into Science Lab Classrooms, alteration of existing office and staff restroom, and provision of HVAC into the Science Lab Classrooms. Band & MPR Room - Alteration of band room, addition of wall to create lobby area, alterations to existing restrooms Prequalification of Bidders As a condition of bidding for this Project, and in accordance with California Public Contract Code section 20111.5, prospective bidders are required to submit to the District a completed set of prequalification documents on forms provided by the District. These documents will be the basis for determining which bidders are qualified to bid on this Project. Prequalification requirements: Prime Contractor/General Contractor: Unless prequalified with the District, Contractors that intend to bid or propose to perform work under an A, B, C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 and/or C-46 license(s) and that intend to bid or submit a proposal as general contractor (prime contractor) directly to the District. First-Tier Subcontractors: Unless prequalified with the District, Contractors that has any or all of C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46 license(s) and that intend to bid or submit a proposal as a first-tier subcontractor to a general contractor (prime contractor) that is bidding or submitting a proposal directly to the District. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class B license at the time of award and throughout the duration of this Contract. All Pre-Bid RFIs regarding the Bid documents shall be submitted via email by no later than Monday 14th, February 2022, by 4pm. There is no Project Labor Agreement on this job. Construction is expected to begin in March 2022 with project completion in July 2022. Contract to be awarded to one Prime Contractor.
