The Town of Christiansburg is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide professional civil engineering services related to initial, special or routine and annual bridge inspections. The Town will select one firm to provide the engineering services requested using the Competitive Negotiation Procedure for Professional Services as outlined in section 2.2-4301 of the Virginia Public Procurement Act. The Town shall enter into a one (1) year term contract with the selected firm(s). The contract may be renewed, at the discretion of the Town, for up to four (4) successive one-year terms (for a maximum total of five (5) years) as allowed by law. Under such contract, the fair and reasonable prices, as negotiated, shall be used in determining the cost of services. The Town of Christiansburg reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with any qualified firm or to modify or cancel in part or in its entirety the Request for Proposal if it is in the best interest of the Town of Christiansburg to do so. This Request does not commit the Town of Christiansburg to provide any payment for costs associated with the preparation of proposals submitted in response to this Request for Proposal.
