The County of Minburn invites proposals through this RFP to undertake a comprehensive review and rewrite of its Municipal Development Plan (MDP) to reflect the needs of the County and community. The County's existing MDP was approved in 2009 with an aesthetics update in 2016, and minor review and update in 2021. A full document review is needed to reflect the change to the community, keep up with the changing development demands, modernize regulations, and minimize red tape for residents and stakeholders. The objective is to secure a Consultant with a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation to provide the County of Minburn with a full review and update of the MDP. To specifically create a clear and concise document that reflects the changing needs of the community and provide a framework for future land use decisions. To ensure alignment with existing Intermunicipal Development Plans, Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks, and Area Structure Plans. To address issues raised by administration, Council, and the community as part of the engagement process. Questions about the RFP must be directed in writing to Davin Gegolick, Planning & Development Officer at dgegolick@minburncounty.ab.ca no later than February 14, 2022. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
