The City of Bend is developing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for solicitation of a Progressive Design build (PDB) team to design and construct the Awbrey Butte Distribution Improvements Project. The project consists of approximately 13,670 feet of water pipe ranging in 8- to 24- inch diameter and approximately 9,040 feet of a new 30-inch diameter high-pressure transmission line near the Awbrey Butte reservoir. Project improvements will address: current and future capacity demand; existing aging and undersized pipes; fire flow requirements; and improve west to east conveyance. Additional synergy projects may be included for stormwater, street preservation, and other utility improvements in the vicinity of the project area. Questions will be responded to during the information session and posted online. This is an optional meeting. This project is utilizing an alternative delivery method known as Progressive Design-Build, which includes selecting the contractor and engineer simultaneously.
