Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Trafford, Alabama. Working plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
**As of February 23, 2022, bid rejected due to overbudget. This Project includes the furnishing all labor and materials, where required, and equipment for constructing a public works project according to the plans, details, and specifications described in the Bid Documents. The general character of said public works project shall consist of the following: a FEMA tornado shelter and safe room supporting space and structure, compliant with FEMA P-361 criteria. Special instructions are as follows: Bidders must have experience in FEMA safe room construction. Evidence of experience and qualifications must be submitted with the bid proposal as stated in the Instruction to Bidders. Bidders must qualify by listing successful community safe room or public assembly building projects of similar construction type and providing references from Owners that the work was completed satisfactorily. All contractors are encouraged to consider the project including small and minority businesses and women's business enterprises and encouraged to submit bids or otherwise participate as subcontractors. A bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany the bid.
